Hello! My name is Sam…
I’ve been part of the creative world for as long as I can remember. My college background in Economics might not look like a traditional creative origin story, but it taught me to think about work through both ideas and impact — a theme that still threads through everything I do.
Photography was my first visual language. I’ve lost count of the millions of photographs I’ve taken over my lifetime — each one driven by curiosity, emotion, or something I couldn’t quite put into words. Over time, I stepped off the front line of the camera more often, not because I stopped loving the craft, but because I wanted to help others make great work too — leading teams, shaping how we think about storytelling, and building processes that help creative work scale and perform.
What matters most to me isn’t just what we shoot — it’s why we shoot — and how that work makes people feel. Whether it’s joy, beauty, humor, or even a quiet sadness, I hope people see and feel what I saw when I pressed the shutter.
When I’m not thinking about light and composition, I’m thinking about adventure. I’ve been to all 50 states (at least twice in 49 of them), and I love being outside, whether hiking, camping, mountain biking, or just wandering with our dog, Erwitt — half Fruitcake, half Wingnut.
Curiosity, exploration, and a little bit of offbeat thinking are what fuel me — in life and in the work I lead.
